After a 10 year break from game development, I worked on The Cave of Ātman with Chris Johnson and Hayden Davernport. I took the Burning Aura mechanic from Jean d’Arc (PSP), tweaked a few properties, and turned it into its own puzzle game. This is the first time I’ve done sprite work. A Video Game in Twine
Year: 2013
Role: Game designer

A Video Game in Twine developed from my interest in the Twine development community. I noticed that several Twine developers were labelling their interactive narratives as games when, at least according to my definition (“interactive challenges of skill”) weren’t. This lead me to attempt my own Twine game. I discuss the results in Adventures in Games Analysis: Volume I.
Pollution Solution
Year: 2004
Role: Game designer, programmer, artist

Pollution Solution is an educational game about protecting the environment. I did programming, game design, and all of the graphic design for this game. The game came about through an extra curricula program at school where students start their own business and sell a product. We released Pollution Solution physically, selling copies locally at shopping centres and community stalls. I’m most proud of the game’s production, variety, and length.
